Elder Barfuss update

I wanted to write and give everyone a quick update on what Nick has been up to lately. We got an email from him today that included this cool picture of him in front of a castle when he went rock climbing with the elders quorum last Friday. Okay, okay, he and Elder Andrews didn't actually rock climb, but they got to sit and watch! :o) He looks good though, doesn't he?

Nick was called to be district leader a few weeks ago. Way to go, Nick! He is immersing himself fully into his calling and is definitely right where he should be. He is still in Germany and loves the city of Goppingen. I can only imagine that everyone there loves him too!!

Here is his current address:

Elder Nickolas Barfuss
Kirche Jesu Christi
Gartenstrasse 15
D - 73033 Göppingen
GERMANY

I'm sure he would be excited to hear from you! We love you, Elder Barfuss!

Welcome Home Elder Beck!

Austin arrived home on Monday July 14 about 9:30 a.m. He looks great!
We're looking forward to hearing his Mission report on Sunday July 20.
Looks like Julie and Ray are especially happy to have him home!

Happy Fourth!!

Happy Fourth of July!! We hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday! Our family went to the Murray Parade in the morning and had a great time!! Lots of candy + beautiful weather = a super fun celebration!!

Dylan's got the best seat in the house - Grandpa's lap!

Jeremy shared our "test your arm" sign with the Murray City Fire Department mascot guy :o)

Leah danced with Aunt Jess - her expression sums up the holiday! We had a wonderful time at the parade!

Need some advice...

So, one of my 14 yr old Young Women has a mom who is dying of breast cancer. I'm looking for advice, perspectives, and maybe a little bit of insight into what she is thinking inside. She's never been horribly active, coming to 1 or 2 Tuesday night activities a month and not coming on Sundays. So I don't have a close relationship with her, but want to provide her with some support in the months to come.

Any ideas?

Love, Jessica
