Grandpa Barfuss' oldest sister Thelma Jenson passed away on Sunday Aug.10, 2008. She was 89 years old. On Sept. 13 she would have celebrated her 90th birthday. Grandpa and I were with her, along with her four children when she peacefully slipped away. We had a chance to tell her that we loved her and she mumbled, "I love you guys too". It was a sweet experience to be there with her. She had pneumonia and there was no chance of her getting better. She was such a sweet, down to earth lady. She had a strong testimony of the gospel. She worked in the Logan temple for over 15 years. She had three sons and one daughter who were very attentive to her. She always said that her kids were so good to her. She loved to read and was one of the most positive, optimistic people that I knew. She endured much pain due to arthritis, but she never complained. We will miss her, but know that she is now free from pain and is with her husband and parents that she has been separated from for many, many years.
We are all better people because we knew Aunt Thelma!
