The Holidays are coming!

Have you noticed that the stores

have Christmas all mixed up with Halloween

and poor Thanksgiving is hiding 

behind the counters?

We've had several inquiries about dates

for the Barfuss Christmas parties

and since the calendar is filling up fast

we thought we'd better let you know

what we're thinking.

We realize that as our family grows, it is

impossible to avoid conflicts....

We are just happy to have as many as can come

 be with us to celebrate.

SO

The younger Wilfardo/Wilfy Party

will be Saturday December 21, 2013

at 12:00 noon

at Grandpa and Grandma's house

with the traditional lunch,

cousin gift exchange,

program,

and Christmas stocking.

The Adult Wilfardo Party

will be Monday December 30, 2013

at 6:30 p.m.

at Grandpa and Grandma's house

for planned pot luck supper,

White Elephant gift exchange,

and Christmas stockings.

More information will be coming...

they will fit in with your holiday schedule!

Val's Shower Location Change

Val's wedding shower will be held at Aunt Julie Beck's home

instead of Grandma and Grandpa's place.

They have a new missionary living with them 

from Brazil and he has to study the language every day

so the missionaries don't leave until 1:00 pm instead of 10:00 am

so.....

Plan to come to Aunt Julie's on 

Saturday Sept. 14, 2013

for brunch, tying the quilt and showering gifts

any time between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm

It will be great to see everyone!

Val's Bridal Shower

Val and Dan are getting married October 4, 2013

We're having a shower for Val with all the ladies

and girls in the Barfuss Family

on 

Saturday September 14, 2013

From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

at

Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Come when you can, have brunch,

help with the quilt, and shower Val with gifts 

to help her set up housekeeping!

Barfuss Family History

          Have you ever wanted to know more about your parents, grandparents and other ancestors?
Well, we'd like to start keeping a record for your own children and grandchildren.
          As part of the 2013 Barfuss family reunion, we're creating a Barfuss Family History Book.
We're asking each family to fill out a one-page FAMILY HISTORY sheet telling about your family group.
          Then we'd like to have a one-page PERSONAL HISTORY sheet on each member of our clan (yes, that includes all the spouses and children of the Barfuss Originals)
          We'll gather the pages at the reunion and put them in a binder that will be kept at Grandpa and Grandma Barfuss' home.  You can bring the completed sheets with you to the reunion (great idea for FHE this week) or we'll have blank forms you can fill out during the reunion.  If you won't be able to attend the reunion, we're asking that you please send your completed pages to Grandpa and Grandma in the mail.
           We'll e-mail an attachment giving ideas of what to include in your contribution.  If you have questions give Stacie a call.
          Thanks for your help!  We look forward to seeing you at the reunion!

Noon to Night

Andy and Julie's Backyard

Noon - 2:00 Optional Activity:

     Swimming at the pool (Bring your own lunch)

  The main event will be  from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m.

2:00   Welcome and "know your wilfardo/wilfy number" activity.

 2:30  Hang out and play:

          Volleyball

          Croquet

          Trampoline

          Archery

          Horse shoes

          Bocce ball

          Swings

          Bounce House with slide

          and soft ice cream on tap!! :)  

4:00  Team Games

          Have your picture taken with Grandpa and Grandma

5:30   Dinner--main course and drinks will be provided. (please see below for assignments.)

6:00 - Dark:  Optional Activities:

          Outside games, cards, board games, and just hanging out.

Dark:  Outdoor movie.

Dinner Assignments:

          Andy, Julie, and Stacie's families:  Salad or side dish

          Larry, Heidi, and Jodie's families :  Dessert

          If possible please bring camping chairs or a yard blanket

We are excited to see you all!

2013 Barfuss Reunion Update

As we get closer to the J.A. Barfuss Reunion 

date of July 20th we want to update you

on the plans so far.

 A detailed itinerary will be forthcoming

but we wanted you to know 

the time schedule so you will know how to plan

your participation in the reunion.

The official reunion will begin at 1:00 pm

at Andy and Julie's place.

If you would like to come and swim before the reunion

swimming will be available between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

You will be responsible for your own lunch.

At 1:00 pm we will gather together and then 

There will be lots and lots of fun stuff to do 

for all ages .....

trampoline, zip line, water slide, volleyball,

archery, horse shoes, croquet, visiting, etc. etc.

 Snacks and drinks will be available to tide you over

till the picnic dinner that we will have together in the 

early evening...

then board games and perhaps a movie for those

who would like to stay

So....please let your Barfuss Sibling parent

know if you will be coming by next Sunday July 14th!

We look forward to seeing you all there!

This has been a busy summer so far

for the Barfuss Clan

with Weddings, quilting showers, new babies,

and a rousing Memorial Day celebration

AT ANDY AND JULIE'S HOME IN FARMINGTON!
